Humus build-up with EM®

Narrow-fruiting, humus-consuming crops or the sale of straw have a critical effect on humus balance. Without the targeted supply of organic matter, most soils are therefore quickly absorbed into the negative balance. The regular organic fertilization in combination with EM® stimulates the entire soil life, which results in faster and in total more humus build-up. Mineral fertilizers can be saved increasingly, because effective microorganisms fully exploit the humus effect of organic fertilizers and the soil of existing organic agriculture.
How does EM® help with humus build-up?

With EM®, living microorganisms are put into the soil, which eliminate harmful germs and provide a development advantage for all already existing, developing microorganisms. Together with the effective microorganisms, an environment is created, which also optimizes the living conditions of all other soil organisms. Together, microorganisms and bodied animals ensure a fast rotting of organic matter and the constant build-up of humus.

In practice, the effective microorganisms are diluted directly into the soil as a liquid product, mixed with an organic fertilizer immediately prior to application, or even sprayed into the growing stocks.
Alternatively, EM® can be directly applied to the surfaces via the previously fermented organic fertilizer.

Combined: Organic fertilizer and EM® reduce operating costs

Humus can only be produced when organic substance is regularly added. Without adequate soil, organic matter, mineral fertilizers are also inadequate, since a large portion of the nutrients are shifted into deeper soil layers when the humus is absent.

EM® generally ensures an increased share of plant-compatible nutrients in the soil – from supplied mineral or organic fertilizer or from the existing organics. They also solve established nutrients from complex compounds. Due to the stimulated soil life and a stronger intermixing of the soil, mainly due to more earthworms, even regular nutrients from deeper soil layers enter the root area through regular EM® use.

For a vital soil with an above-average humus build-up, the effective microorganisms need at least once a year an organic fertilization or the return of straw / harvest residues.

In principle, not only the price and the short-term fertilization of an organic fertilizer have to be considered, but also the potential humus effect. In combination with EM®, an above-average amount of humus builds up, which reduces the demand for mineral fertilizers and improves the operating result on the bottom line.

With EM®, economic fertilizers lose their rot-potential and are much more plant- and soil-compatible.
No putrefaction means simultaneously nutrient protection and hardly unpleasant odors. If no slurries enter the soil, existing microorganisms are protected and can be used for their function
Nutrient mineralization and humus build-up. The soil as a digestive organ and the immune system of the plant is naturally strengthened.

Manure and manure:
Optimal is already the feeding of effective microorganisms as a silage additive or the supplementary feed with EM®, because by the colonization of the intestine the microorganisms have already influence on the excretions of the animals and consequently also on manure and manure qualities. If the stable or the fertilizer is additionally treated with EM®, the positive effects on humus build-up in the soil are fully utilized.

For the preparation of dung is already worked in the stable with EMtierra or EMagro. Alternatively, the manure per cubic meter can be mixed with 500ml EMtierra or EMagro and fermented (best compacted best) after three to six months.

Compost:
Conventional composting is associated with high temperatures, which ensure a hygienist of the material, but also burns many nutrients due to the high temperatures. This problem is solved with EM®: the occurrence of putrefaction and the multiplication of harmful germs is prevented, the rotten runs at low temperatures and nutrients are protected. The fertilizer and humus effect of EM® compost is therefore higher than that of conventional compost.

To produce EM® compost, a cubic meter of vegetable material containing 500 ml of EMtierra / EMagro and, depending on the dry substance content of the material, 10 to 20 liters of water, is added and then compacted as best as possible. After three to six months, the finished EM® compost is applied and superficially worked in.

Conclusion:

The combination of organic fertilizer and EM® increases the fertilizing effect of the organic fertilizer and improves its humus effect. With regular EM® use, an above-average amount of humus is built up in the soil, which is regarded as a sign of vital soils. Due to the constant humus build-up, mineral fertilizers can be saved ever further, depending on the culture and soil quality, until they become completely unnecessary after a few years. For companies that work on their surfaces with EM®, the initial increase in the number of machines is increasingly reflected in a much more positive operating result:

    Collected mineral fertilizer,
More vital soils with more humus content,
    Less plant protection measures,
    More stable yields.
